Section Four: Origins

This is where your character comes from, both geographically and in the sense of your family. This can be very important. Non-human characters will generally only be rolled up in a few areas of the Vhast. Location will also determine your likely religion, what languages you speak and the skills you are likely to have (very few plains dwellers have mountaineering skills for instance).

The first thing is for the GM to determine where they want their campaign to start. Remember that it is unlikely to stay in that area and that any new characters that are added later will probably come from other areas than the initial characters. Seeing that characters will generally come from the same area, this overcomes the initial problem of how the party gets together. They possibly know each other and they may already be friends.
